The Napa Skate Park provides a healthy alternative for youth recreation

In the summer of 2008, the City of Napa began the process to create the Napa Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan. The City hired the Berkeley-based planning firm MIG, Inc. to work with the Community Resources Department to develop the plan.

Throughout the planning process, the City and MIG will emphasize involving the community in articulating a vision for Napa's parks and recreation system, and identifying community needs, priorities and project opportunities.

The draft plan will be completed in Fall 2009 and adopted by the Napa City Council before January 2010.
